Week 1. MKTG 3349 - Chat Gpt

 


    ChatGPT is an AI-powered chatbot that uses a deep neural network to process examples and generate text for users to communicate with. People can ask ChatGPT complex questions that other AI chatbots may not be able to answer. Some examples of such questions include writing a cover letter, planning a trip, and rewriting song lyrics. I asked ChatGPT to rewrite Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" but with lyrics about goats. Surprisingly, the AI-generated song was ready in less than a minute, despite the original song being eleven years old. Although the lyrics didn't sound as catchy or pleasing to the ear, they were sufficient enough. 



ChatGPT is an excellent resource because it is free and provides fast-generated results. It gives us a closer look at how AI can benefit many industries. I used to be against AI as I believed it created many more problems; like taking jobs away from individuals. However, I realized that ChatGPT is incredibly beneficial; normally when I have questions I google it and often I leave with no clear understanding. But ChatGPT gave me quick responses that were easy to understand. Therefore, I realized that AI is incredibly beneficial, and is quite exciting to see how it can provide us with more unique resources.

       Canva is a free design platform that allows users to create easy flyers, business cards by using templates. Unlike other free graphic design platforms it gives professional like results; there are many cool editing features. Canva also offers a variety of templates for different industries and you can make it unique for you own brand. They also give users the option to upgrade to their pro versions on a monthly or yearly subscription. Canva Pro gives users the experience to use features like the brand kit, or more professional picture editing. Another interesting feature would be their brand voice which uses AI to generate text that sounds like your brand. This can help small businesses who struggle with getting their wording out.      After graduating university it can be difficult to understand what you want to do professionally. Some go back to their part time jobs until they find a full time in their specialty and some individuals pursue a different path. Courtney Quinn has shared some of her work experience and tips that will become useful for individuals who need more help finding a job. She has stated that internships are a great ways to get yourself knowledgeable about the industry as well as create connections and learn hands on. Personally, I have always had a difficult time learning in schools due to my short attention span and having a hard time retaining information.
