There are many career paths marketers can take and although individuals may not have all the skills required, they can still find a career that is suitable for them. I am a bit introverted, and have difficulties speaking between crowds but I'm very creative, and I can brainstorm ideas very quickly. Therefore, I would probably do best on the creative marketing path, maybe an advertising and media coordinator might be for me. Marketing is a great career; it is well paid, the job market is expecting to grow by 10% in the next ten years, there are many opportunities to work abroad as well. The skills recommended to have include communication skills, analytical skills, creative skills and organizational skills. If an individual does not have one or more of these skills, they can take courses or practice in order to develop these skills. (Arshad)
Like the many different career paths marketers can take their are many different ways a marketer can get their education. The first option would be going to a university and receiving a bachelors in marketing, The higher the degree the more likely you are to get a better job and or get paid more. Another option would be to take marketing certifications course. HubSpot academy and Google analytics offers many courses for free. Individuals can also apply for internships or entry level positions; if school or courses are not an option many individuals can learn while working. Some jobs even pay for their employees education and some jobs do not require education. (Saint - Juste)
